Boerenbont is tableware for everyone. This distinctive pattern originated as a local craft made by farmers wives in the 19th Century. Each piece is hand-painted.
The Boerenbont collection is characterised by the recognisable floral decoration in the colours blue, green, red and yellow. This decor is used on each piece from the collection. The Boerenbont service refers to the farming landscape, the rich country life. Whether you live in the countryside, in a suburb or in the middle of the city, with Boerenbont crockery you feel at home everywhere. (Boer = farmer & Bont = this distinctive colour palette)
This pattern has been made by the Royal Boch factory in Belgium since the 1800s. The pieces on offer here were made between the 1960s and the 1980s. Please see my other listings for other items from the same service.
The Bowls are 22.5cms wide x 4cms deep
