Not much is known about the Norwegian designers working for PS Heggen in the 1950s and 60s apart from the iconic waste paper baskets by Einar Barnes in the mid 60s. I haven't been able to find the exact designer of this particular coffee table but will update the listing as and when I can.
This coffee table is made of solid rosewood (legs and frame) and rosewood veneer on the top. The grain is gorgeous and the colours are sumptuous. This really is a statement piece being both oversized and extremely simple by design. The legs can be removed for transportation.
The coffee table is in excellent vintage condition and has been fully restored by us. It is marked underneath PS HEGGEN made in Norway.
