In the 1970s G Plan brought out a range of modular lounge furniture which meant that customers could choose which items they would like to fit their own homes and lifestyle. This desk, with attached shelving unit, made up part of this range.
The simple design is typical of G Plan at its best. This piece is multi functional too as it can be used as a desk, a sideboard or bookcase. The slender dimensions means that it would fit comfortably into any modern or vintage home.
The shelving unit is attached by brackets at the back which means that this piece can be partially dismantled for easy transport and moving into your home. There are 2 fixed shelves for stability and 2 adjustable shelves for functionality. Please see images for how the hidden brackets operate.
The desk has a single drawer which is partitioned, offering flexible space. The unit has a cut-out at the rear of the base to allow it to sit above a standard skirting board and fit flush against the wall.
This piece is in excellent vintage condition with no structural or cosmetic issues.
