This is a rare piece of early 1960s G Plan 'modular' furniture and consists of a bookcase with 2 adjustable shelves on a base.
The bookcase is made of an African hardwood, afromosia which has a fabulous patina that only age can bring. This unit is part of the concept G Plan Modular Range where different top pieces could be selected to fit on the standard frame base.
There is the original gold G Plan stamp on the base (please see images).
This piece is in excellent vintage condition with the usual signs of age and wear and only one small dark stain (please see images for details).
This is a real statement piece which is perfect as a TV stand or sideboard or stand-alone bookcase.
